tonyr21 An older version was made with a more traditional j-hook type of handle that was handy to have. I lost my old one and had to replace it with the newer version. I liked the handle of the older version because it was handier to have in many situations. The mesh carrying case with shoulder strap makes this umbrella a great one to keep in the car or easily pack and take on vacations.

lm Worked well initially but after only a few weeks, the umbrella broke and won't open or close except by forcing it.

The stretchers, or at least part of the stretchers, are made of plastic. The plastic on two stretcher-ribs snapped after just a few weeks of light use. As a result the umbrella will not open or close properly.

I would not recommend this umbrella to anyone.

kevster Be careful when it's windy; the umbrella may try to pick you up with it. It's too small for use as a sun umbrella. Either get a larger windproof umbrella and/or a sun hat when it's sunny.

SOLTC The combination of compactness and strength is just what I was looking for.

Gary The umbrella broke the frist time I attempted to use it. The company was contacted and they did not respond.

Raving This umbrella is just what I have been looking for in an umbrella.

Anonymous I love my new Auto Open and Close Umbrella. I am not so young and have lived without an Umbrella for a long time but after moving to Winston Salem NC and having the luxury of wonderful soft and sometimes not so soft rain coming up in a hurry I needed just this wonderful easy to use Parapluie to keep me dry.
