Anonymous I've had a large one of these for around 5 years now, and it's still going strong. It will hold way more weight than you should put on your shoulder or just a water bottle; it doesn't matter, it still fits great and doesn't feel awkward.

EMILE Where are my reading glasses? Anyone see my sun glasses? Call my cell phone so when it rings I can locate it. Such statements are no longer a part of my vocabulary since receiving my Timbuk2 Classic Messenger Bag. I've often envied my wife and daughters for having the opportunity to carry their stuff in a purse. We visit the Caribbean often and the majority of men carry shoulder bags. So why not me? It simply brings a sense of organization to ones life. So, after much toying with the idea I decided to order a man bag. Hey, I live in metro New Orleans ... almost anything is acceptable here in the Big Easy. And after Katrina ... who really cares what anybody thinks. I am thrilled with every aspect of the Timbuk2 Classic Messenger Bag I ordered the extra small so not to needlessly allow myself to haul around my lap tap ... I've a computer bag for that. Life is wonderful. I no longer search the house, car or office for those essentials that we haul around. The Timbuk2 has enough testosterone to not be misconstrued as a women's purse ... the utilitarian aspects of the bag are perfect ... nice compartments for cell phone, i-pod, glasses, a pen, business cards, etc. ... and water proof ... a necessity for the monsoons of south Louisiana. Equally as enjoyable is the fantastic service from Moosejaw ... from the ease of ordering ... to the tracking of the shipment ... to the great banter and little quips that make me smile. Thanks, Emile

DIANE This is a great bag for people who hate zippers. You know who you are. You are always in a hurry and carry around so much stuff that the zippers on your backpack inch their way down, eventually spilling all your worldly possessions into the street. This bag carries tons of stuff and has a flat bottom and good structure so it sits open even when empty so you can hurriedly toss and cram things into the bag without it falling over or having to hold it open. When you're ready to go, the big top stays closed with a purposeful slap on the Velcro. Pockets on the inside and outside of the bag allow you to find keys, phone, money, squirrel food, hate mail, and other smaller items quickly. It does have a bit of a masculine look, so I ordered a more girlie color for good measure and have not had my femininity questioned.

CARA Moosejaw is great, first of all!! Now, the bag I like the look and the overall feel, and fit. Flaws It doesn't have enough separate compartments for things like wallets, ipods, gum, etc. It does have a phone one, and a few pen ones, but that's all. also, no one has mentioned this yet, but somehow the bag absorbs smells, and holds onto them for days after. For example, after having a pack of peppermint gum inside for half a day, the bag smelled like that for a week! I haven't tested this with other worse-smelling things like an orange peel or a banana, but I have this thing about lingering smells, even good ones like peppermint, so this is a huge issue.

EDWARD I can't say enough about this bag. I bought a large two years ago and it still looks brand new even with everyday use. The large is enormous the medium is more than enough for most but being a teacher it is perfect. I have more than enough room to stuff a whole days worth of homework that I'll never grade, my lunch, water bottle, work out clothes and a laptop. It has also doubled as a carry-on bag/overnight bag for some shorter trips. Do ourself a favor and but the better strap if you get a bigger bag. The bag is incredibly durable and very well designed. I expect to get another four or five years of use out of it.

AMY I love my new bag. My husband actually got the same bag in all black for work. But when we took a family vacation to Disney World, we decided to use his bag as a diaper bag be/c it fits so much stuff. Let's just say that I fell in love with it...I almost didn't give it back. Finally, I did. My husband then surprised me on Mother's Day with a bag of my own. I did exchange it for a custom-colored one grey/pink/grey. It's very cute. Anyway, I've been through about 5 diaper bags Coach, DKNY, Lands' End, etc but I could not find the one that worked for me...

Anonymous I ordered the large size of this bag, and when I got it, I thought it was WAY too big. But once I started putting junk in it, it was perfect. I'm a med student, and I can throw in my laptop and 4 text books and this thing still closes! Downsides are that there is no sewn bottom margin, so everything sort of slides and tries to lay down in the bag. Also, there are NO outer pockets, so there's no place to stick a cell phone, keys, or Nalgene bottle. Bummer. You can buy an attachment, but I didn't.

RANDY We bought this bag for my wife who is back in school and was tired of lugging 2 separate bags around. The inside is wide open so there is plenty of room for multiple books, laptop, water bottles try a sigg they are well worth the money and pockets for smaller things. The fabric is very durable don't worry about overloading it, the bag won't tear. Besides looking cool, this bag is fully functional. If you have a laptop look at the Timbuk2 sleeves that way you have some added protection.

Anonymous My wife and I purchased a Timbuk2 (small) bag for my son to keep his assorted Nintendo paraphernalia in and the wife liked it so much she continuously "borrowed" it. This caused all sorts of family termoil because son couldn't find his stuff and wife had the bag that holds the stuff. Solution, I purchased a slightly larger version for wife's B-Day and she loves it! Son now has his bag back (but still can't find his stuff).
