Adoptive momma I was looking for a diaper bag with lots of pockets and stability. Other bags flop over, have no dividers and I got really frustrated trying to find things while my baby was screaming. This bag is great. It stays upright, the pockets of various sizes help me organize my son's entourage, and I now know where to look for anything I need. I also like that when my husband has the baby, he won't be embarrassed with a froofy bag.
Super-picky SAHM Skip Hop REALLY thought of everything when they designed this bag, and I couldn't live without mine.Oh, the pockets! If you're an organizational freak, then you'll love (and use) them all. The 2 pockets on the outside are perfect for small items you want to have readily at hand (cell phone, keys, tissue packs). On the outside of the main bag (underneath the flap), there are 2 larger, long zippered compartments -- great for holding personal items (wallet, pens, lipstick, etc.). On the topside of the bag, there is another long zippered compartment that is great for holding diapers (holds 3 size 4 diapers), diaper cream tube, and wipes case. They were super-smart in placing the changing pad on the outside; super-easy to reach while wearing the bag, and it's away from your clean items inside the bag. There's also another zippered pocket on the outside that has the Agion antimicrobial lining; I stuff all sorts of dirty things in there as well as keep extra plastic bags in case of emergencies (used diapers, wet clothing). Nice to have a dedicated "dirty" compartment! The 2 side mesh pockets are wide enough to hold a Wet Wipes container (3" diameter). I only wish that they were insulated. The inside is lined with pale gray fabric, so it's easy to see everything. There are many pockets (6, I think) plus one zippered pocket. I can keep a change of clothes, wipes, disposable bibs/placemats, camera, sunscreen, and still have room. The shuttle clips makes it easy and quick to attach the bag to your stroller; no extra set of clips needed! Now, my only complaint is that I wish it were more durable! I've had mine for 16 months, but within the first 6 months, one of the zippers broke. Also, the inside lining fabric on the flap has started to pull away and fray from the seam. So disappointing. If they could work on improving the durability, I'd have given it 5 stars. But considering that there isn't a better one out there, I'll probably buy another one after mine goes completely kaput!
EastBayMommy My son is now 2 and we've had this bag from Day 1. I share the same sentiments as some of the other reviewers, I wish it was a little bit wider. But that is the only Con that I have for the bag. It is made of great material, very durable and has great pockets for all the little things that need a place. The stoller straps are easy to manage, I wouldn't get any bag that doesn't have a system like this. The bag is comfortable and stylish for both my husband and myself. But the MAIN reason I'm writing this almost 2 years later...recently the bag was stinky -- long story short, there was a loose sock that had soaked up some milk and had lodged into a small corner of the bag and started to mold. I was totally disgusted and almost tossed the bag. But as a last resort, I pulled the lining inside out and threw the whole bag in to the wash, and voila -- brand new bag. It's didn't wear or dry funny after two washings in hot water. We just let it dry out for a few hours with towels stuffed in the small pockets and it was good as new. I don't know if washing is recommended, but it worked for me and I'm so happy I don't have to buy a new one!

MommyW/3boys I have three boys so, I have had my fair share of diaper bags. This is my favorite bag I have ever had. Over five years and countless bags this one is my favorite. I love the tons of pockets, there is a place for everything. The strap is padded which is a plus when you are carrying baby, and the bag and holding hands with another child. The inside of the bag is light in color so you can find things really easy. This bag is expensive and that is it's only downfall. It is very well made. It's not huge but, I guess if you are one of those new moms that have to carry everything you own this isn't the bag for you. This bag will hold everything you really need to take with you for an all day outing.
Midwest Momma I bought this bag after alot of research and I even checked it out in a baby store and decided it would be too big, as I am more of an anti-typical american mom of 2. It is pricey but I had a bunch of gift cards from my baby shower so I went for it anyway and now have been using it for a month and although I still think it is fairly large for my taste, I love it! It holds alot of diapers, wipes, back-up clothes, a wet bag, it has 18 pockets and it holds all my stuff too! Bonus! I can fit cloth diapers in it too! My camera fits along with bottles of water (or baby ones) too! Overall it is awesome and my hubby likes it too. The liner is a contrasting orange color with matching changing pad. Looks sweet with the chocolate brown. Expensive but worth it!
Re This is the best diaper bag ever. This is the perfect size, attaches beautifully to my stroller, and has very useful pockets - just be organized and it won't be hard to find whatever you want inside it. I do not find this bag small at all, and see that I do carry a lot of stuff everywhere I go. This bag easily carries: 2 bottles, 2 instant formulas (8oz.), 2 changes of clothing, 2 bibs + burp cloth, 1 small first aid kit, 1 blanket, 2 cloth diapers, 3 disposable diapers, diaper rash cream, a few small toys and a package of wipes. I don't think a small bag would be able to carry all that!!!
The Burkes I bought this because I had heard good things about the Skip Hop brand. The bag is well made and seems like it will hold up well to a lot of wear and tear. The only thing I am not sure about is whether it will be big enough for all our gear. It does have a lot of pockets so hopefully that will help keep everything organized. I also like that it is very uni-sex and my husband will not object to carrying it.
NYC Mommy I really love Skip Hop stuff for the most part, but this diaper bag needs help. I read tons of reviews and decided to disregard the ones I read about this bag that said it was large but didn't hold much. Unfortunately, that statement is so true. I can carry a lot of diapers, a wipes case, one outfit, a burpcloth, my wallet, my phone, and one thermal, flannel, or muslin blanket (in addition to a few small items like a container of diaper rash cream, breast pads, some bags for dirty diapers, etc.). With all these things in it, though, it is heavy and the outside flap is just bulky and doesn't lay flat against the rest of the bag. It'd really be nice to carry a few more items for myself, too...like a book or a bottle of water! I thought the bag would expand and accommodate a lot, but it really doesn't. I love all the pockets, but putting things in them seems to be problematic. Also, the bag itself is just heavy, so I feel as though I'm carrying around a ton of bricks. I love messenger style bags, but I've concluded that since I am rarely able to take my stroller out (I live in NYC, and elevators at subway stations are rare), I need a tote style diaper bag with TWO straps. That way, if one falls off, the bag is still on my shoulder. The shuttle clips on the Via Messenger bag are great, but not being able to use my stroller all that much, I'd rather have a bag that stays on my shoulder better. This one is constantly falling off of it, particularly now that it's getting colder and I'm having to wear a jacket or coat again. On the plus side, the bag is well made and very sturdy. I suppose I could wear it across my body to keep it on better, but since I'm using a sling to get around the city with my baby, I'd rather have a bag I can get on and off easily, without having to put a strap over my head.
Laura This is the second diaper bag. I got this for several reasons: it has structure (when you put stuff in it, it doesn't become a black hole), durable, enough pockets and yes I agree the inside could be a little bigger but if you use the pockets properly it makes up for it (if you need a bigger bag, get a duffle bag), great for daily use of going out (prolong trips I use another bag),looks great, comfortable shoulder straps, side straps for stroller (ingenious!), my husband uses it (and yes he doesn't know half the time where some of the stuff is but I'm the one who uses and I know where everything is in it). Yes, like any product out there it has its drawl backs, but as you can see from above I really love this bag
