Mel K. We will be traveling by plane in a few months and this enables our car seat to travel with us, safely, securely and without getting dirty. This is a must for air travel.

Disappointed Bought this to protect my daughter's Britax marathon in gate check. I thought it would be reusable and keep us from using plastic garbage bags or those the airline provides.

Unfortunately, the bag came back to us in the jet way with seams pulling apart and actual holes in it where the fabric wore out. It was a miracle the seat was not damaged. We obviously can't use it again after literally ONE flight.

Essentially, I feel duped, like I paid way too much for something as strong as a disposable garbage bag. This could have been made from a much stronger material (we know they are other nylon fabrics out there) and it could have been sewn better.

I contacted JL Childress about this and they insisted that I provide them pictures of the bag before they would do anything for me. This I couldn't do because I threw the darn thing out. I have never had to present photographic evidence to a company to prove to them that their own product was not fit for its purpose. Obviously, they are not really willing to stand behind their product after they've got your money. Don't waste your money.

Random00 While this bag is handy...it's not made of the best materials. After using it 3 times, it has ripped(well, 3 trips, so 6 uses(2 @ each airport)).

It is also not waterproof. So cover your stroller/carseat in a garbage bag, then put it inside this bag. Otherwise you run the risk of having a soggy carseat/stroller (thanks jerks @ Miami airport! You can guess how we found this out)

Kathryn Y. White We used this bag for flights, cruises and to transport our seat around foreign countries. It is a great bag and the handle is strong. We used it for our Britax and it fit perfectly. We even strapped the handle around our stroller handles to wheel on the back of our stroller through Mexico to get to our rental car. Perfect for gatechecking at the airport. Best of all, [...] the price cannot be beat.

boyswillbeboys This product is great as it folds down so small and is easy to use. We use it when going through the x-rays at the airport and then when we gate check it to keep the car seats clean (Britax round about and frontier) Also used it with the Graco infant car seat when my son was younger. I like having the car seats with us if there is an extra free seat to use it in and having it on last and off first. Less damage and it stays cleaner this way. We travel often so have two of them along with the stroller gate check too. Great products that are easy to clean off too.

Maria080608 My only real comment is it will get the job done. I fit my Graco SafeSeat(30lb) with the car base in it and i'm sure it will fit my Britax Decathalon in the future. I used this on a flight to florida and when i got my carseat back, i found several small holes in the bag..almost as if those baggage claim handlers couldn't pick up my 10lb carseat and dragged the bag on the floor. I mean for the price it was totally worth it because i can't imagine what my carseat would have looked like if i gate checked it with no cover on it. I'm probably going to slap some duct tape on the holes and re-use the bag in the future. So in short, the bag is worth the price, it will get the job done, but if you're a frequent flyer you should probably opt for the more expensive (50.00) one. I believe the same company makes it.

Apartee "Apartee" Not only am I a mother but I also am the person that puts the gate check on your stroller, carseat and oversized bags. ;) I love this for my own personal use and I think it is a great way to keep your stuff clean. Our aircrafts are so extremely dirty, so keep your stroller or car seat protected. BUY THIS GATE CHECK. OH yes and the color really does catch our attention.

3boys2love THis gate check bag saved our car seat from all the filth of the planes cargo hold. Yes, a trash bag could work, but will tear! As to the other review that said poor construction, I think it depends on the crew! Mine made it two flights there and two back with a lot of dirt, but no holes! The crew actually knew it was for my baby so they always had it waiting at the gate before me! I used it with the gate check stroller bag!

Mac I bought this to protect a car seat. It did protect the car seat but there was a tear in the seam after one flight. Of course, it could be due to a rough baggage handler but I assume they considered that when designing the product. I would hope the company would reinforce the seams more. Other than that, the product worked. It even came in a little pouch that made it easy to travel with when not in use.
